Powerzone/Warren Sixpak Fall 2011 program.
Powerzone Fall boys program: Sundays,
3 hours practice each week for 10 weeks at Powerzone in Denville. Cost is $300, start
date is Sept. 18. There will be a placement clinic on Sept. 11, that costs $25 and
will be from 1-3 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m. (Please contact Fred, - Fredsie@warrensixpak.org
to let him know which time slot you're coming to) Included in the 10 weeks is 2 sunday
tournaments, but the program is more geared toward individual skills, the tournaments
are to allow the players to put into practice what they've learned. Coaches will
be college level players or experienced Warren Sixpak coaches.
Warren Sixpak's 14s,
15s and 16s players will participate in the Powerzone Program, and the Warren Sixpak
travel teams for those age groups will be composed of players from the Powerzone
Program who are interested in going to the next level.
The Warren Sixpak 17s and 18s
teams will have 3-hour practices at Powerzone starting Sept. 11, New juniors and
seniors can do the Powerzone program and still be eligible to participate on the
Warren Sixpak 17s and 18s teams later in the year with the Warren fees prorated based
on the Powerzone program costs. All Warren Sixpak players participating in the practices
have to register with GEVA at the start of practices Sept. 11.
There won't be official
"tryouts'' for Warrens teams - All the teams will be formed in mid-November/early
December. The younger teams will be made based on the players that are interested
from within the Powerzone program, and the older teams out of the players who have
been participating in Warren Sixpak practices on Sundays at Powerzone and Thursday
nights at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft (optional practices for those that
are close enough to attend), along with interested players from the Powerzone Fall
program. Email fred Fredsie@warrensixpak.org for information. Cost for the 2011/12
Warren Sixpak program will be $1,450, depending on if teams go to Nationals. 14s
costs will be strictly based on the tournaments they go to (they may not go to all
tournaments).
We will find a spot for all interested players be it as a practice player where
they may sub a bid events or play in local tournaments. Fees for these players will
be less.
Warren teams will go to local tournaments often and will have 5 "travel''
tournaments - 4 are USAV "bid'' tournaments with the possibility of earning a spot
in the Open Division at Nationals. Rochester, NY in mid-january, Penn State (17s
and 18s) in early February, York, Pennsylvania (14s, 15s and 16s) in mid-February;
Richmond, Virginia over Memorial Day weekend; and Nationals in July in Dallas, Texas.
